TL;DR
  • The Problem: Buyers trust third-party reviews (especially G2) far more than company claims; manually exporting and managing G2 data is painful and goes stale quickly
  • The Solution: AirOps' new G2 MCP pulls live review data directly into Playbooks—connect once in Settings, refresh automatically every time a Playbook runs
  • Four Key Use Cases:
    • Landing pages with review-informed positioning and proof points
    • Competitor comparison content grounded in third-party evidence
    • Blog content ideas sourced from common buyer questions in reviews
    • Social proof snippets that auto-refresh for blogs, ads, and emails
  • Why It Matters: AI search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity) cite G2 far more than vendor websites—winning AI search requires third-party credibility, not just your claims
  • Getting Started: Open any Playbook, authenticate your G2 account, no extra cost—includes product lookup, review retrieval with date filtering and pagination
  • Coming Soon: Discussion threads as AI search prompts, competitive sets for Brand Kit, product features endpoints
  • The problem with review data

Buyers trust third-party reviews more than anything you publish on your own domain. AI search engines behave the same way. G2 is the #1 most-cited domain for B2B "product x vs. product y" searches.
Getting that data out of G2 has always been painful. Manual exports. Screenshots pasted into docs. Comparison copy that goes stale the moment a new review lands. Most teams give up and write category pages from memory, and that's how you end up with positioning that sounds like every competitor's.

    Connecting G2 and AirOps

The G2 MCP brings G2 reviews, buyer intent, competitive insights, and product data directly into AirOps Playbooks. Connect your G2 account once in your AirOps Settings, and every Playbook in your workspace can pull live review data at run time. The exports and the brittle middle steps go away.

Four things teams are building with it:

    1. Review-informed landing pages. Turn review themes into sharper positioning, proof points, FAQs, and comparison copy. The language your customers actually use converts better than the language your team brainstormed.

    2. Competitor comparison content. Use G2 competitive insights to generate comparison pages, battlecard-style content, and category guides grounded in third-party evidence instead of internal opinion.

    3. Top questions blog content. Buyers ask the same questions over and over in reviews. Those questions are your AI search content calendar. Surface them, answer them directly, and show up when AI engines go looking.

    4. Social proof at scale. Extract customer language, feature strengths, and outcomes from reviews and turn them into snippets for blogs, ads, emails, and web copy. They refresh automatically every time a Playbook runs.

Why reviews should be a core part of your AI search strategy

AI search runs on citations, and AI engines weight third-party sources over first-party claims. When ChatGPT or Perplexity answers "X vs Y," it pulls from G2 far more often than from either vendor's website.

Winning AI search takes verifiable, third-party evidence behind your content: review-backed comparison pages, listicles with real credibility, feature pages populated with authentic buyer sentiment. If you already have G2, you have that evidence. This integration puts it to work.

    How to get started

If you're an AirOps customer with a G2 account, open any Playbook, select "Configure" for the G2 Tool, and authenticate. The current release ships with product lookup and review retrieval, including date-range filtering and pagination. You can find more information on our integration in our documentation.

There's no additional AirOps cost. It's included as a native Playbooks tool for customers who authenticate their own G2 account.

On the roadmap: Discussions, which turns buyer questions into AI search prompts; Competitors, for seeding your Brand Kit competitive sets; and Product Features endpoints.

Your G2 reviews are available within AirOps right now. Go ask them what to write next.
