What We Learned Training 300+ Marketers on AI & What's Next

- Most marketers can use AI tools but few can build AI systems that actually work.
- Six live cohorts and 320+ marketers taught us that progress comes from building together, not just watching tutorials.
- The best workflows are simple, intentional, and led by marketers who know what great content actually looks like.
- Everything we learned now lives in AirOps University, a self-directed course for marketers ready to go from AI-curious to AI-capable on their own schedule.
- Start now.
Five months ago, we took a big leap.
We launched our first content engineering cohort with 12 people. I remember sitting there thinking, what if this doesn't work? What if they hate it? What if we're not actually good at teaching?
But here's the thing about taking leaps... you don't know if you can fly until you jump.
Five months later, 320 people from companies like Notion, Webflow, Stripe, Ramp, Descript, and Vanta have gone through our cohorts.
They've built real workflows, saved real hours, and received real promotions.
They’ve become real 10x content engineers.

The industry is changing. Search is evolving. AI is everywhere. And honestly? How freaking exciting is that?
Because while some are panicking about AI replacing marketers, we discovered something different: AI doesn't replace the marketer. It empowers them. But only when you're in the driver's seat.
And today, we're turning what works into something bigger.

Why We Built AirOps University
Let’s talk about the why for a second.
We didn’t build another “course.” The world has enough of those and enough “10 ChatGPT prompts that will change your life” posts, too.
We built this because we kept seeing something that didn’t sit right. Brilliant marketers—people who deeply understood their craft—were struggling to cross the gap between playing with AI tools and actually building systems that drive results.
That gap between creating something average and something great with AI felt impossible to cross. So we decided to build the bridge.
After six cohorts and 320 marketers, here’s what we’ve learned:
AI isn’t the problem. It’s the process.
Left on its own, AI is average. It can generate content, but it doesn’t know what great looks like. It doesn’t know your audience, your positioning, or why your message matters. The more I've used AI, the more I've realized this truth: the technology isn't the constraint. The human expertise is what makes it valuable.
AI needs direction.
It needs someone who knows the difference between something that reads well and something that converts. Someone who understands the nuance behind a brand, a goal, and a market. Most courses teach you about AI. We wanted to help you actually build with AI—and more importantly, understand that you're the most critical part of the equation.
That’s why AirOps University exists. Because when you give AI to someone who truly understands marketing, it becomes a powerful multiplier.
Here's what Deepshikha from Stripe said after going through the cohort:
"This has been one of the biggest growth spurts of my entire career!"

That's a career shift and that's what we're after.
The marketers who learn to engineer AI workflows won't just keep their jobs. They'll define what this industry becomes. They'll be the ones companies are desperately trying to hire. They'll be running strategy while everyone else is still copying prompts from Twitter.
We're teaching you to become a Content Engineer.
How the First 6 Live Cohorts Shaped AirOps University
So how did we take 320 people from "I'm curious about AI" to "I just automated so many manual processes and my boss wants to know how"?
Here's what we figured out works.
Live sessions were exactly what we needed early on
When we started, we needed to see where people got stuck, what questions came up, and where people became confused.
So we we conducted live online classes, filled with Q&A and brainstorming sessions. A content marketer just raise their hand and say "wait, how does that part work again?" and it was invaluable to see what questions people had in a live setting.
The energy of learning together, building together, troubleshooting together is where we figured out what actually works in content engineering.
That feedback was invaluable, because the content changed with each group and iteration.
And after six cohorts and 320 people, we learned enough to build a comprehensive self-directed course that gives you that same proven structure, but on your schedule.
Get people building immediately
We don't spend three weeks talking about workflows before you touch the platform. Week one, you're building. Your hands are in it. You're making mistakes. You're creating something real.
Because here's the thing. You don't learn by watching. You learn by doing.
And yeah, your first workflow might be a bit rough. That's the whole point.
Start simple, then scale
We found that simple workflows often perform the best.
It’s tempting to try build the most complicated solution, but simple automations that save you time consistently often have the most impact for the attendees, and are easier to spread throughout the company.
Teach principles, not just tools
AI tools are going to change. The platforms will evolve. One day there will be a ChatGPT-7 that will replace the current models and we'll all pretend we saw it coming.
But the principles? Those stick around.
AirOps University teaches you how to think about AI systems.
Learn how to:
- Architect workflows
- Prompt with precision
- Build based on your internal docs
- QA your outputs
Because here's the thing: you're not learning to use AI. You're learning to drive it.
And a great driver can handle any vehicle once they understand the fundamentals. Learn those things, and you can adapt to whatever comes next.

More Than a Course, It’s a Movement
We could've built a traditional course and done the whole aggressive launch thing. "Buy now! Limited seats! Look at these bonuses!"
Instead we showed people the potential of content engineering and AI workflows. We empowered them. We celebrated their wins. We shared everything we learned.
And you know what happened? Graduates told everyone about it.
They posted their certificates on LinkedIn. They told their colleagues, shared it with their networks, and brought their community into the mix. Some even reconfigured their entire teams around it.
When you actually help people get better at their jobs, they become your biggest fans.

What You Get (AirOps University)
So here's what we built.
AirOps University is everything that worked in the cohorts, now available on your schedule.
You get:
- 6 modules that take you from foundations through to running full production systems
- Real projects you build as you learn (not fake examples, actual top-notch workflows with high-quality results)
- A capstone workflow that becomes your portfolio piece
- Public recognition on our Certified AI Marketers page
- Lifetime access to a dedicated community of people leveling up their skills
Here are just a few examples of what dedicated content and SEO experts have built with AI workflows:
- Teri (Content Manager) created a workflow that SEO optimizes 500+ product pages, saving her 12+ hours every week.
- Erik (Senior SEO Manager) built a content review system that handles 60-70% of what he used to do manually, saving 5+ hours per piece.
- Lucy (Content Marketing) built research and SEO workflows that automate 4+ hours of weekly work that used to make her want to quit.
- Liebe (Head of Written Content) created an 80-step content engine that turns keywords into complete articles, saving 40+ hours per piece.
They became the drivers. They brought the expertise. AI just scaled what they already knew how to do.
This Unexpected Win Has Made It All Worth It
You want to know what the biggest win has been?
It's the messages.
The LinkedIn posts where someone adds "Certified Content Engineer" to their profile. The DMs that say "I just got promoted." The Slack messages like "my boss asked how I built that and now wants me to teach the team."
One person messaged me saying they finally felt confident enough to apply for roles they thought were out of reach. Another said they went from "the junior marketer who uses AI sometimes" to "the person everyone comes to when they need to build something that actually works."
That stuff? That's what gives me the tingles.
Because here's what I realized. We're not just teaching people to use AI. We're giving them a skill that makes them valuable in a way that's really hard to replace.
It’s Time To Make Your Own Leap
Here's the part that excites me.
We've proven this works with 320 people. Now we're opening it up so way more people can access it.
We're not trying to create a million people who know a little bit about AI. We're trying to build a whole community of Content Engineers. People who can architect systems. Who can prove ROI. Who can teach their teams. Who become the person everyone comes to when they need to figure this stuff out.
These people know they’re not being replaced by AI, but they will know how to direct it.
Content engineers will be the most valuable people in the room.
AirOps University is for you if:
- You've been playing around with AI but not actually seeing it change your work.
- You've felt that frustrating gap between "this is cool" and "this is actually making me better at my job".

- You're ready to stop being a passenger and become the driver.
Watching you build things that actually work, seeing you share your wins, getting messages about promotions and new opportunities? That's why we do this.
You're literally the reason AirOps University exists.
Now let's see what happens when we help create a million more marketers build like you do. 🎉
