What is a Brand Kit and how does it work?
AirOps relies on high-quality context for large language models, and a Brand Kit delivers exactly that. A Brand Kit is centralized, reusable brand data that you leverage across your Workflows to ensure consistency and precision. Rather than relying on generic outputs from tools like ChatGPT, the Brand Kit provides tailored information—brand voice, customer profile, point of view—and feeds it directly into your Workflow’s LLM step.
Creating a Brand Kit
- Navigate to the Data tab and click New.
- Enter your domain and hit Create Brand Kit.
- AirOps will populate the kit with information pulled from off-the-shelf LLMs.
- Best practice: rewrite these entries to match your brand’s actual voice and details.
How a Brand Kit Works in a Workflow
- Open the Workflow (for example, Meta Description).
- Click Set Inputs.
- Add an input of type Brand Kit—this is the only way to connect your Brand Kit to the Workflow.
- Select your Brand Kit (e.g., “Ramp”) from the dropdown and save.
When you open the prompt template, typing a backslash (\
) brings up all Brand Kit variables. Every field you defined in your Brand Kit becomes available as a variable reference.
Accessing Brand Values with Variables
Key point: use variables to pull in specific Brand Kit data. For example:
- Reference
brand_name
to insert the company name. - Pull in
brand_point_of_view
for tone and positioning.
Each variable can be used individually in your template to deliver precise instructions to the LLM.
Best Practices
Reference Individual Variables
- Use each variable to create targeted instructions.
- Don’t dump all Brand Kit variables at once—pick only what’s relevant.
- Example: a meta description may skip the full writing style guide and focus on SEO keywords and brand mission.
More Context Is Better
- Populate every section—brand overview, customer profile, brand point of view—with as much detail as possible.
- If output quality isn’t quite right, beef up the Brand Kit fields first.
- Rich, specific context helps the LLM deliver on-brand, accurate content.
