From MBA to ENG: How Shweta Gupta Went From 15-Day Projects to 15-Minute Processes

Shweta came from a sales and advertising background with no technical training. Four years into digital marketing, she discovered Content Engineering through AirOps — and turned workflows that used to take weeks into ones that run in minutes.
Q: Introduce yourself! What do you do for work?
I'm Shweta Gupta, and I work at the intersection of SEO, content, and AI. I help brands improve visibility across search and LLM models by strategizing, optimizing, and placing the right content on the right platforms, using AI to make the process smarter and more scalable.
Q: What led you to Content Engineering?
I have an MBA in Advertising and Marketing and come from a strong sales and marketing background. I transitioned into digital marketing four years ago when I moved to the UK, and now I'm moving into AI marketing and Content Engineering, where I combine strategy, search, content, and technology.
Q: When did you first learn about Content Engineering?
I first learned about Content Engineering through AirOps, and working on workflows gave me a real "awe" moment. Seeing work that used to take 15 days become possible in 15 minutes with AI made me realize this was not just another tool, but a completely new way of thinking about content, systems, and scale.

Q: How do you define Content Engineering?
Content Engineering is about combining marketing, content, and technology to get results at scale, so work that once took months can now be done in days.

Q: Tell us about your biggest win with Content Engineering so far.
My biggest win is honestly being able to call myself a Content Engineer, especially coming from a non-tech background. Beyond that, building workflows that save real time and effort has been brilliant. Seeing a process become faster, smarter, and more scalable feels like a big step forward.

Q: How did AirOps University change how you approach your work?
The Cohort changed how I think about scale. It helped me see that AI is not just for creating content faster, but for building workflows that can research, structure, and support content strategy at a much larger level.
Q: What are you most excited about in the future of marketing?
AI is not just taking jobs, it's creating new opportunities for people who are ready to learn. I'm excited about using AI agents to handle repetitive work, so marketers can focus on strategy, creativity, and growth.

Q: What advice would you give someone just getting started with Content Engineering?
Test, experiment, and stay curious.
